Looking for cover artist

Fri Sep 26, 2008, 9:24 AM
So I decided to split my first novel into two parts to make it more affordable (and thus, hopefully, more sellable...)

The problem is...the lady who was going to do my two covers...has apparently vanished from the face of the earth as she hasn't e-mailed me in literally months...and I can't really move forward and work on other books until this first project is finished.

That said...

I'm looking for a fantasy artist willing to two covers for my split book, the gates of avaelon, and the fate of avaelon...it's a romantic fantasy with fairies (human-sized), nagae, dryads, mermaids...lots of fun stuff...

I'm willing to pay..but keep in mind I'm a dirt poor college graduate student who does need to save some money if she wants to eat in the next month or so...so I can't pay exorbitant rates (has seen people charge $200-$2000 dollars for a single picture X.X;;;
If I had that kind of money to splurge on just a picture...I'd just go to a vanity press and get the whole bells-and-whistles publishing packages they hawk.

Thanks to a very nice lady on Lulu...my book was formatted, had almost 200 pages cut off, and is thus much cheaper than the original attempt! (if anyone just wanted to download a copy and read it....that's only $1.25 ) ^__^

After years of constant pestering.......all those of you who have wanted a hard-copy of Gates.....

Can now have one.

lol

Ah the wonders of self-publishing. After literally years of it sitting in hibernation on my computer, and still more months of revision, tweaking, editing, and careful read-throughs, Gates is finally in it's final form and has been uploaded, converted and placed on Lulu for sale. So if you want Gates in actual book form you can take with you and foist on others, then please do proceed to my very own storefront and order yourself a copy (and tell any passing victim you might run across to order a copy too...if I actually make *gasp* some profit off Gates...that will pave the way for other books to be completed ^__^ ) the cost isn't *too* terrible....I was expecting it to be around 30 or so due to it's sheer size (as a novel it's an even 700 pages O.O )...but the final price turned out to be $24.78.

I finally finished the bloody thing! *does the dance of joy and then collapses*
